| Serving
Our Community SunCoast Cathedral MCC is a part of a much
larger community outside of our church.
In living our lives in the
example Christ set for us, we give testimony of our
faith by reaching out to help our neighbors.
These are the ways we serve our community. SunCoast
Cathedral could not offer all the services, ministries and
congregational care without support from its friends and family.
Prayerfully consider lending your time and
talents to our church and our community.
These are some of the
programs in which we participate.
-
Crop Walk Be watching for details
on SunCoast's Crop Walk team.
If you have walked in the past, please plan to walk
again this year. Historically,
SunCoast has had a large presence in this event and
we wish to continue our success.
We generally raise about $2000 to help stop hunger. Greg Holman is the coordinator.
- Vet Care Express specializes in
providing both emergency and non-emergency
transport for pets throughout Manatee and Sarasota
counties in Florida. Vet Care Express was created
with both pets and pet owners in mind to provide
immediate, professional, compassionate care and
transport for pets.
More info: Our congregation is answering
the call for the donation of used linens (sheets
and towels). Kathy Hanas and Susan Fredricks are
in charge of collection.
- FRUIT FOR INTERFAITH
DINNERS We take our turn to supply
fruit for the Interfaith Community Dinner. You have been very
generous in the past and should know that we are one of 10
churches that supply their monthly fruit. Please bring your
pieces of fruit on Sunday, January 29. The fruit will be
distributed to those attending the Monday dinner at St. Mark's
church the next evening. Thank you for your giving spirit.
- CHAPS Sunday CHAPS Food and Hygiene pantry
supports people wit AIDS in our community. Our members
donate wrapped toothbrushes which are distributed by Chaps.
- Hospital Visitation Our Deacons and Members of the
congregation visit and pray with those who are ill or in the
hospital. Let us know of these needs by calling the
church office and letting us know at 484-7068.
